Jades Flower Design offers a wide range of courses to suit every requirement, be it a fun workshop with family and friends or a serious learning experience. Whichever course is the one for you, you are sure to thoroughly enjoy your time at the Flower School and also come away with knowledge, confidence and plenty of inspiration!
Beverley Nichols has worked as a floral designer for over 25 years and launched Jades Flower Design after freelancing for some of London’s best known florists and working on Royal and Celebrity celebrations. Jades Flower Design has featured in numerous national publications such as Wedding Flowers and Accessories magazine, OK and Tatler, with their weddings regularly used as inspiration on wedding blogs such as Style & The Bride and Love My Dress. The success of Jades Flower Design culminated in Beverley and her team winning Essex Wedding Florist of the Year in 2012.
Beverley established her own Flower School, run from her pretty studio in the beautiful north Essex countryside, in order to share her extensive knowledge and experience. As an accredited and experienced teacher she has created a wide range of courses suitable for complete beginners through to existing florists looking to extend their skills. Under Beverley’s guidance and tutorship even the most inexperienced will gain the knowledge and confidence to produce incredible results.
To ensure that every student gains core floristry skills that are fundamental to all designs, each workshop and course covers the Principles of Design and Colour Theories. The level of this will be determined by the nature and purpose of each course. All courses include tea, coffee and most importantly cake! (The team at Jades Flowers Design are fuelled by sugar!). Full day courses include a light lunch.
Many of our students combine a course with a stay in one of the fantastic hotels in this area – whether you would like a luxurious stay at Milsoms or a bed and breakfast, there’s plenty to choose from. We are 20 minutes from Dedham which is the heart of Constable country and there are many other beautiful villages to visit, including historic Finchingfield and quaint Coggeshall.
